I'll bet there's more than one Google-addict reading this review, right? Well, if you're a fan of the Internet giant, I have the perfect app for you - a Firefox add-on that gives you quick and easy access to all your Google favorites.
Google Shortcuts provides toolbar shortcuts to as many, or few, of Google's services as you want. It comes with a few pre-selected, so when you install it, you'll notice several icons appear on the taskbar. Even though they are easy to read, the more you have, the less space there is for the address and search bars, so you might want to give the configuration options a tweak.
From Google Shortcuts' Settings area (also available as a toolbar shortcut), you'll be able to pick exactly which Google services you want to appear (and trust me, there's a full selection), as well as specifying whether the shortcuts should be visible on the toolbar, or If they should appear in a drop-down menu. You can also choose whether or not the service opens in a new tab when you click on it.
You could argue that Google Shortcuts is no different to manually dragging the services to your toolbar, but there's a limit to how many times you can do this before it all starts to get a little messy. This tool, meanwhile, makes the whole process more centralized, cleaner and easier to access, making it ideal for people who make heavy use of Google's multi-faceted services.
Google Shortcuts is the perfect add-on for frequent Google services users.
